A signal that
never faded
What began as a single broadcast booth in 1999 grew into a student media empire. Every story has a beginning — ours started with a microphone and a dream.
In the fall of 1999, a small group of students set up the very first Bearcast broadcast from a room barely large enough to hold a mixing board and three folding chairs. Nobody was sure anyone was listening. Turns out, everyone was.
Over two and a half decades, Bearcast Media evolved from a single radio signal into a full multimedia organization — encompassing sports broadcasting, music journalism, investigative reporting, and a television production unit that rivals professional studios.
Every voice you hear, every byline you read, every broadcast you watch — it belongs to a student who chose to show up and tell the truth.
